School Workshops

School Workshops

Meet Robert Mason, a bricklayer from the year 1583 for an interactive walking tour of the visually stunning streets of Chester. Then enjoy hands-on activities with Key Stages 1 & 2 workshop sessions, set within a real Tudor building complete with original artefacts.

Our group works in partnership with the Friends of Stanley Palace to bring the story of the Tudors to life inside their stunning Elizabethan townhouse of Stanley Palace.

Incorporating local history with cross-curricular links, we believe that the best way to learn is by having fun...and that includes getting the teachers involved!

Your Visit

With a variety of activities at your disposal, you can customise your visit or choose one of our preset workshop sessions to get the most out your experience. Stanley Palace features tea and coffee facilities, space for lunch, ground floor access for wheelchair users, toilets and even a small gift shop to round off your visit.

Admission for accompanying teachers is free and fees include a small donation to the Friends of Stanley Palace Trust, to ensure the survival of this beautiful building.
